The Day I got new pants...

Today I received the most comfy pair of maternity pants EVER. They rock. They were handmade for me, custom! By who you ask?? My SIL...she rocks..she can sew like crazy. I don't even want to buy anymore pants from anywhere else, seriously. I finally got some sleep last night which of course felt great. Rayne was so grown up in a way last night...she drank too much before bed and we all know what can happen when that happens with a child...she peed a little in her sleep. BUT...she did not fuss or wake me up with it...she went into her room and changed her clothes...went potty...got a towel and layed it where she peed and then layed back down and went back to sleep. How do you know when your child is growing up? When they pee in their bed but don't wake you up and deal with it by themselves....:) Quinn was very active again today..he stayed really low today too...not too much moving up high which he usually does...he must have found a warm spot, who knows. The only bad thing is that means my bladder gets kicked even more and it hurts a tad. I've had quite a few braxton contractions this evening..maybe cuz i haven't sat down very often today..up and about a lot. Rayne had fun today with her cousins here. Except that her littlest cousin is in love with Rayne's newest baby which can cause drama now and then as you can imagine. Once the cousins left Rayne tuckered out and took a nap for about an hour. We had yummy BBQ turkey burgers and homemade fries for dinner which was so yummy and there wasn't any complaining from any kids which is a miracle. Tomorrow we have a get together with some friends which should be fun. I'm watching the food network while typing this and I am getting hungry again. So I am off to have a snack and give the computer to Rayne...she wants to play her Starfall or NickJr. games, lol..she's very good on the puter. Goodnight all!

Busy Day

Well today was a busy day. Rayne's cousin Esme spent the night and had fun together. We went from here to my SIL's house where she fixed my maternity pants that were too big..they are SO much better now..no more grumpy Mommy when she is dressed :) We went from there to Grandma and Grandpa's for prime rib dinner...yummo! Now we are home again and Rayne is tuckered out and asleep...it will be another late night for us (as usual). Unless she is out for the night, but I doubt it. Quinn has been a very little boy too...wiggling and turning and flipping around. I think he's going from head down to head up...soon to be head down I'm sure. (and hope) I got a phone number from Lisa (sil) to a midwife that I will be talking to and hopefully switching to as she can birth at the Hospital we have chosen to use (the one I was born at!). Long story short, my current midwife is great, but she and some other midwives lost the O.B. that was sponsering them so she can only do homebirths now. So I must find someone else and hopefully Julie is it. That will be a big relief for us. In other pregnancy news I have to potty every 1/2 hour it seems...kinda frustrating, but par for the course. Sleeping isn't as easy anymore either. Last night was tossing and turning every hour or two trying to get comfy..whatever side I was sleeping on would get sore and I would have to flip to the other side. Sigh....I'm tired as a result. So the training begins. Only 2 more weeks til 3rd trimester...getting closer. I can't wait to meet the little guy...getting excited.

First Day

This is the first time I have done a blog. I can't seem to write in a journal so I thought I would start a blog as a way of writing my thoughts and the days occurances down for future reference and for family and friends to see what is going on in the life of the Ensmingers. I also wanted a place to show a daily picture of something from my photography. This will also contain information on how the pregnancy is going and how Rayne is doing. I will attemp all of this AND try not to bore any readers.

So for today...we of course went to Church. I didn't get up until 11am! I must have really needed some sleep. The morning went fairly well until I put my pants on...they are too big and I can feel them slipping down with every move I make. It's very frustrating and I hope to have them altered soon. Rayne was very good in the morning and got herself dressed in a very creative outfit and brushed her hair without my asking. She gathered the stuff she wanted to take for Church and got out to the car when she was told to. It was weird. I was waiting for the big crash boom. I made a yummy hashbrown casserole for potluck after Church..it was a copy of a Cracker Barrel recipe and SO yummy. I had to eat some once we got to Church. Rayne was very good during Church and I got to listen to a lot of the sermon. I had to get up to go potty 3 times though, lol. After Church we went home and got my niece's clothes for a sleepover with my daughter. They are only a couple of months apart and like peas in a pod, best friends. We love that. I hope it stays like that as they grow up. Our little boy inside of me seems to be doing great...he's very active and feels strong. He is causing me much discomfort, just as he should. After bringing the girls home, I got to go out with my SIL to sushi and it was DELICIOUS. I will go there again for sure. I had seaweed salad for the first time and couldn't believe how yummy it was. I could become addicted to that. The tuna rolls I had were also very very yummy and so fresh. I then came home and got the girls to sleep and had a little bowl of icecream, minus the pickles...not my thing. I then started this blog and hope I can keep up with it. Oh and since the midwife I am currently with can no longer birth at the hospital I will go to, I got the phone number to a new midwife that I will be calling on Monday and hopefully will like. I think that's about it for today. Tomorrow is another day...we might take the kids sledding, we will see!
